You can record Screen Only, Camera Only, or Both Screen and Camera simultaneously. Choose the mode that best fits your needs.
What video quality does the extension support?

How do I use keyboard shortcuts?
Use Alt+Shift+S to start/stop recording, Alt+Shift+P to pause/resume, and Alt+Shift+C to cancel recording. For Focus Mode: double-tap Cmd/Ctrl to activate, ESC or double-tap again to deactivate. These work from any tab.

Focus Mode is a revolutionary feature that highlights and zooms into specific page elements during recording. Double-tap Cmd/Ctrl to activate it, then click any element to focus on it with beautiful spotlight effects. Press ESC or double-tap Cmd/Ctrl again to deactivate. Perfect for tutorials and demos!
How do I activate and deactivate Focus Mode?
To activate Focus Mode: Double-tap the Cmd key (Mac) or Ctrl key (Windows). To deactivate: Press ESC or double-tap Cmd/Ctrl again. Focus Mode is only available during recording or when the tutorial is open.
How do I focus on specific elements in Focus Mode?
Once Focus Mode is active, simply click on any element on the page (buttons, text, images, etc.) to focus on it. The element will be highlighted with a beautiful spotlight effect and the page will smoothly zoom in to emphasize that element.
Can I focus on text selections in Focus Mode?
Yes! In Focus Mode, you can select any text on the page and it will automatically focus and zoom in on that text selection. This is perfect for highlighting important information or code snippets in your recordings.
Can I select a custom area to focus on?
Absolutely! In Focus Mode, you can click and drag to select any rectangular area on the page. The selected area will be highlighted and zoomed in, giving you precise control over what your audience sees.
What visual effects does Focus Mode provide?
Focus Mode provides several stunning visual effects: spotlight highlighting around focused elements, smooth zoom animations, cursor changes to indicate focus mode is active, and dimming of non-focused areas to draw attention to your selected content.
Where are my recordings stored?
All recordings are stored locally on your device. We never upload or access your recordings - your privacy is guaranteed.
How do I download my recordings?
After recording, you can preview and download your recording as an MP4 file. The extension automatically converts WebM to MP4 for universal compatibility.
Can I record audio with my screen?
Yes! The extension supports high-quality 48kHz stereo audio recording with noise suppression. You can choose your microphone from the settings.
What happens if I run out of storage space?
The extension uses smart storage management. When storage reaches 85%, it keeps your 5 most recent recordings. At 95%, it keeps your 2 most recent recordings.
Troubleshooting
Solutions to common issues
Recording doesn't start
Make sure you've granted the necessary permissions (screen capture, camera, microphone) when prompted. Try refreshing the page and starting again.
No audio in recording
Check that your microphone is selected in the extension popup and that the audio toggle is enabled. Also ensure your browser has microphone permissions.
Poor video quality
The extension automatically uses optimal settings, but make sure you have a stable internet connection and sufficient system resources available.
Keyboard shortcuts not working
Make sure the page is focused (click anywhere on the page first). The shortcuts work from any tab once the extension is active.
Extension not appearing
Check that the extension is enabled in Chrome's extension manager (chrome://extensions/). If disabled, click the toggle to enable it.
